About the university

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), founded in 1974, is a public higher education institution situated in the suburban area of Abbotsford, British Columbia, with branch campuses in Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, and Agassiz. Recognized by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills of British Columbia, it is a large coeducational institution with 10,000-14,999 students. UFV offers officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's, bachelor's and master's degrees across several areas of study. Its admission policy is selective, based on entrance exams and past academic records and grades. International students are eligible to apply. UFV provides numerous academic and non-academic services including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad programs, and administrative services.
