York University, founded in 1959, is a large non-profit public education institution based in Toronto, Ontario. It's officially recognized by Ontario's Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities and serves a substantial student body of 40,000-44,999. The university offers diverse degree programs, from bachelor's all the way to doctorate degrees. Admission is selective, largely based on students' prior academic performance, and international students are welcomed to apply. It provides several facilities and services for students, including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad programs, and administrative services.
