The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), established in 1969, is a small non-profit, public higher education institution based in the suburban area of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Recognized by the Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning of Prince Edward Island, UPEI, with an enrollment of 4,000-4,999 students, offers an array of degrees from pre-bachelor's (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation) up to doctorate degrees across a variety of study areas. The 55-year-old higher education institution has a selective admission policy based on academic records, boasting a moderate acceptance rate of 60-69%. International students are welcome to apply.
