The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), established in 1990, is a small, non-profit, public higher education institution in the suburban area of Prince George, British Columbia, with branch campuses in Fort St. John, Quesnel, and Terrace. Recognized by British Columbia’s Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, it has 3,000-3,999 students. UNBC offers an array of courses leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, such as pre-bachelor's (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's, master's, and doctorates in various areas of study. Its admission policy is selective, based on past academic records. It welcomes applications from international students and provides numerous academic and non-academic services, including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and online courses, and administrative services.
