The Université du Québec (UQ), established in 1968, is a non-profit, public higher education institution in Quebec City, Quebec. UQ also has branch campuses in several locations including Montréal, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay, Rimouski, Gatineau, Rouyn-Noranda, and Québec. It’s a very large-sized institution, enrolling over 50,000 students, offering a range of courses and programs. It has a selective admission policy with a 40-49% acceptance rate, based on previous academic records and grades. UQ welcomes international students. The institution offers several academic and non-academic facilities such as a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids, study abroad programs, online courses, distance learning opportunities, and administrative services.
